OOU Student emerge as Miss Ojude Oba 2017

Ojude Oba 2017 was a memorable festival which is celebrated by all indigenes of Ijebu's, it usually comes up during the Ileya period and it has been one of the most celebrated festival in the country. This year's beauty pageant was won by a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Afolabi Mariam 300 level mass communication department amidst many participants. The beauty pageant is one of the programme set up by GLO in Ijebu ode to award the most beautiful queen which comes up at Equity resort hotel as part of Ed-el-kabir celebration. The contest was between ten ladies which involves two OOU students, Oguntimehin Ayomide (300 level mass communication student) alongside the winner. Eventually Mariam emerge as the winner and she went home with a cash price of #150,000,00 today courtesy of GLO. Big congratulations to her

EFCC Arrests Seven MAPOLY Students, Others For Internet Fraud

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested seven National Diploma (ND) students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State for alleged offenses bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretenses and possession of forged documents. The suspects- Adesina Olalekan, Makinde Noheem, Toheeb Ogunowo, Somotun Olusola, Somotun Sodiq, Tajudeen Hafeez Bolaji and Kareem Olaseni- are studying various courses in the institution. They were arrested alongside Iyun Ifeoluwa, Odusanwo Ibrahim, Obanijesu Opeyemi Soneye, Azeez Olayinka, Babatunde Ajala, Ojejimi Ademola, Aderowunmi Ayomide and Oluokun Oluwaseun by operatives of the Commission within Abeokuta and its environs on August 17, 2016, following a petition received by the Commission about their activities.
